Who You Are
You are an experienced and qualified social worker with a deep understanding of complex social environments related to children's welfare. You possess substantial post-qualification experience in statutory children's social care settings and are registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC). You either hold a Practice Educator qualification or are willing to achieve it within the first year of employment. Your commitment to personal and professional development is evident through your active participation in the Workforce Development Programme.
What the Job Involves
The role involves delivering a comprehensive social work service within a Resilience framework, catering to complex situations and the needs of children and their families. You will lead in a specialist area of work, deputizing for line management when required, and support the professional growth of less experienced social workers and newly qualified social workers (NQSWs). Your responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating safeguarding and permanence measures, creating detailed reports and case records, and maintaining a steadfast commitment to safeguarding children and ensuring their full potential is realized. You will also be involved in multi-agency work, research, and evidence-based practice to promote best outcomes for children under your care.
