Who You Are
You are an experienced agency social worker skilled in family support and safeguarding. You have a thorough understanding of Child Protection (CP) teams and Safeguarding processes, with particular expertise in CP and court work, including Pre-Proceedings and Public Law Outline (PLO) situations. You are comfortable working across large, rural areas and have experience dealing with families facing challenges such as domestic abuse, neglect, mental health issues, and substance misuse.
What the Job Involves
You will be joining the Bassetlaw Family Support and Safeguarding Team (FSST), where you will manage cases from initial Child and Family Assessments through to initial court proceedings. This includes supporting families with Children in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) planning, as well as overseeing the initial looked after processes. You'll work closely with a strong multi-agency network and collaborate with in-house Women's Aid and CGL (Change, Grow, Live) colleagues. This role involves standard working hours from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Friday, based at Retford Education Centre, Old Hall Drive, Retford, Notts, DE22 7EA.
