You bring sensitivity and understanding to diverse needs, and possess a strong commitment to promoting and upholding children's rights, ensuring their voices are heard in important decision-making processes.
What the job involves
Your role is to provide a comprehensive advocacy service for children and young people in Westminster City Council. You will be responsible for supporting them during Child Protection Conferences and meetings, ensuring their views are respected and considered. You will develop strong professional relationships with children, providing age-appropriate advocacy. Additionally, you are expected to actively participate in meetings, promote the advocacy service, review and develop advocacy practices, and maintain accurate records. This role also involves ensuring all actions are aligned with current legislation and Council policies, as well as reporting on advocacy service outcomes to inform policy and practice.
