Role

Who You Are

You are an experienced social worker with a strong background in the Family Safeguarding Service. You possess the capability to work within a pod structure, effectively collaborating with a team of 5 Social Workers and 1 Manager. Your expertise includes conducting comprehensive assessments and managing care proceedings with a focus on achieving permanency plans for children.

What the Job Involves

As a Social Worker with Swindon Borough Council, you will undertake timely and comprehensive assessments, including parenting assessments, to guide the development of outcome-focused care plans for children and their families. Your role involves managing care proceedings both in private and public courts, initiating and completing processes within court timelines. Your responsibilities also include documenting and analyzing risks and interventions effectively. Notably, social workers residing over 50 miles from Swindon will receive a flat rate of £100 per week to cover accommodation or mileage expenses.
