Who You Are

You are a skilled and experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician with a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair. You possess an NVQ Level 3 Heavy Motor Vehicle qualification or equivalent, along with relevant professional memberships and certifications including VOSA accreditation for MoT testing. You are capable of working independently or as part of a team, adapting to a busy environment, and have excellent communication and numeracy skills. Your flexible approach allows you to manage split shifts and standby coverage effectively.

What the Job Involves

As a Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the council's fleet, ensuring all vehicles and equipment comply with legal standards and regulations. You will conduct inspections, diagnose faults, perform repairs, and undertake MoT tests. You will support the Workshop Manager and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Transport Workshop. Your role includes handling administrative tasks, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines.
