Who You Are
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Finance Officer to join our Cash Management Team in Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of financial processes and support systems used within the team, providing support on accounts receivable/payable in relation to technical, operational, and financial management matters. As an ambassador for our service and the Council, you may interact directly with residents and businesses, ensuring transparency and efficiency in transactions.
What the Job Involves
This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing and reconciling daily banking transactions, verifying and posting receipts and payments, and performing regular bank reconciliations. You will also investigate discrepancies, assist with closing processes, and collaborate with departments to adhere to financial policies. Supporting finance managers, you will play a key role in ensuring transaction transparency and efficiency.
Skills
- Strong understanding of financial principles and ERP systems, experience in Oracle Fusion applications is desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience in financial reconciliation
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
